Familiar Bodies Exhibit at Static

Through material, memory, and the body, Savannah Brinkley and Scarlett Clements investigate the traces that lived experience leaves behind. Influenced by uncomfortable and taboo imagery, and the rawness of human experience, their works transform familiarity into something both intimate and unsettling through reclaimed textiles, found objects, painting, and unconventional materials. Together, their practices blur the boundaries between tenderness and resistance, exposing how bodies, objects, and materials become vessels for memory, vulnerability, desire, and resilience. This exhibition creates a space where the familiar is reimagined, asking what remains when experience is held, remembered, and made visible. This event is for ages 18+ as the art contains explicit imagery and mature themes. There is a suggested donation of $5 to view the show which goes directly to support the Natural State Burlesque Festival through sponsorship by Static. DJ Courier will be providing music for the event and there will be sweets by La Brujas Dulceria.
