Andrea L. Teeter
Andrea Leigh Teeter, 51, of Hot Springs, gained her angel wings on Saturday, April 4, 2026, after a valiant fight against ovarian cancer for over four years. She was surrounded by the love and presence of her cherished family and friends.
Andrea was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Helen and Edward Barabasz, and her paternal grandparents, Ruth and Paul Knabe.
Survivors include her husband, Denny Teeter; her daughter, Haley Eastburn, and fiancé, Garritt Mason; her son, Dr. Chris Eastburn, and wife, Mallory; her bonus daughters, Courtney Muldoon and husband, Zach, and Halle Teeter; and her bonus son, Zach Hyatt, and his wife, Ashley. She is also survived by her father, Charlie Knabe, and wife, Shon; her mother, Kathy Tart; her sister, Dawn McGinnis, and husband, Mark; her brother, CJ Knabe; her sister, Candice VanDee, and husband, Brad; her beloved poodle, "Rue", cats Millie and Lewie; as well as a deeply loved group of nieces, nephews, bonus grandchildren, extended family, and treasured friends.
Andrea was born on Sept. 3, 1974, in Park Ridge, Illinois. She spent the majority of her life in Hot Springs. Outside of the home, Andrea worked in the medical industry for many years. But make no mistake--Andrea's number one job was being a devoted mother to her children.
Andrea loved children--she was a magnet for kids and animals alike. She treasured family dinners, boat rides with family, friends, and fur babies, and sitting on the deck at home watching sunrises and sunsets over Lake Hamilton. She also enjoyed traveling, attending her children's football and baseball games, and reading. She fully embraced life and lived it to the fullest.
One of her favorite sayings was, "If you pray, why worry? And if you worry, why pray?"--a testament to her strong faith, incredible courage, and fierce, unwavering love.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, at New Life Church, 300 Pakis Road, Hot Springs.
Honorary pallbearers are Rick Dodd, Doug Hall, Dr. Clint Henson, Dr. Matt Hulsey, Greg Mundy, and Dr. Chris Young.
The family wishes to thank the love and care provided by Genesis Cancer Center; Dr. Fred Divers and staff; Dr. John Webb; Arkansas Hospice; and the caring team at CHI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Garland County or the Arkansas Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
