Ann G. Trieschmann
Ann Grisham Trieschmann, 87, formerly of Hot Springs, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2026. She was born on June 19, 1938, in Dumas, to Rubye Adams Grisham and Lamar Williamson Grisham, who are no longer living.
Ann is survived by a younger sister, Carolyn Grisham Thomas of Hot Springs. Also, an integral part of the Grisham household was her surviving cousin, Cissy Cowgill Adams, of Conway, and a foster brother, Glen Dale Wilson of Edmond, Okla.
At an early age, Ann moved from the Pickens Plantation to Dermott. She was raised in a very loving Christian home with strong conservative values, which influenced her entire life.
Upon graduating from Dermott High School in 1956, Ann enrolled at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. With the freshman dorms overflowing, Ann was assigned to live in Scott House. This was the perfect setting for Ann with a small group of girls that made lasting friendships.
While working at the University of Arkansas Medical Center as an administrative assistant in the Pediatric Department, she met a junior medical student, John Trieschmann. Upon John's graduation from medical school, they were married in Dermott on Oct. 15, 1961.
When John completed his pediatric residency in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1964, he joined Dr. Joe Rosensweig in Hot Springs, to begin his practice in pediatrics. Hot Springs became home for them and it was here where their four boys were born and raised: Werner, Lamar, Tim and Jay.
Ann was the consummate mother and an integral part in sharing every phase of her boys' lives. Holidays were special in the Trieschmann household, spearheaded by Ann's creativity. The doors were always open to the boys' friends, and throughout the years, many have expressed the hospitality and love Ann showed them.
Following Christ was of utmost importance to Ann. In her early years, she was a youth leader at the First Methodist Church and hosted weekly Bible studies for young people in her home. Later on, Trinity Church became her church home where she was very active in women's Bible studies.
In addition to managing her home and church activities, Ann was a member of Hot Springs Junior Auxiliary and also a member of the Garland County Medical Society, where she served as president.
Upon John's retirement, they moved to Little Rock. Once John was no longer living, Ann first resided in Fox Ridge Assisted Living Facility, with her final years of life at The Blake at Chenal Valley.
Ann is survived by three sons: Lamar (Jennifer), Tim (Lydia) and Jay (Donna). Her eldest son, Werner (Marti), preceded her in death. She was the proud grandmother, "Annie," to her seven grandchildren: Maggie and Claire, John and Kit, Liam, Max and Allie. Also, Ann had three great-grandchildren.
Final arrangements for Ann will be a graveside service at Hollywood Cemetery in Hot Springs at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. It is an open service.
Memorials have been designated to the Community Resource Center, 109 Hobson Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901 or to the charity of one's choice.
