Betty K. Myrick

Betty Kesterson Myrick, age 73, of Hot Springs (formerly of Malvern), passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at UAMS.

She was born on Jan. 29, 1953, in Malvern, Arkansas, to the late William Henry and Tommie Belle (Fitzhugh) Kesterson. She was a member of Malvern High School class of 1971. She worked for International Paper in Dallas, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs and was an avid quilter in their Quilt Group.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Myrick; and sister, Rebecca Kesterson.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, John Myrick of Gravette, Arkansas, and Pace Myrick (Kelli) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; brother, Keith Kesterson (Bess Ann) of Homer, Louisiana; sisters, Eleanor Douskurt, Debbie Jackson (Jimmy), Dorothy Miller and Martha Coston (Brian), all of Malvern, and Merri Zumwalt of Cedar Creek, Texas; grandson, Kace Myrick; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 6, at First Baptist Church of Hot Springs with Dr. John Kelly officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to First Baptist Church of Hot Springs Quilters by writing FBC Quilters in the memo line. If donating cash, write FBC Quilters on the envelope and include your name for an acknowledgement later.
