Charles Schredder

Hot Springs
October 10, 2026

The family of Charles Schredder is devastated to share the news of his passing on Oct. 6, 2026.

Charles was a man with a big heart and a gift for making people smile. Generous, caring and easy going, he made friends quickly and was loved by all who knew him. He had a jovial spirit, a lovable personality and a way of bringing warmth and laughter even on hard days. His good humor put people at ease and his friendliness made strangers feel like old friends. He could find common ground with anyone and people loved being around him as much for his kind heart as for the laughter he shared.

There was something about Charles that drew people to him naturally and his company was easy to enjoy. He cared deeply, gave generously and offered understanding and forgiveness freely. The affection so many felt for him was a reflection of the warmth he brought into their lives.

Charles was a very hard worker who put his heart into what he did. Born in Newport Beach, he held a lifelong love for the ocean and surfing, and a good tennis match.

Charles is survived by his partner, Suzan; his parents, Greg and Cecile; his daughter, Charlotte and her husband, Benjamin; his son, Spencer and his wife, Cassi; and his four grandchildren, Wren, RJ, Riley and Cal.

His family and friends will miss his laughter, his caring heart and simply being with him.

His absence will be felt in the everyday moments — the conversations, the shared jokes and the times they would have spent together. He will be missed more than words can say and remembered always with love.
