Coady J. Clay

Coady John Clay, 91, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, affectionately known as Pappaw, passed away July 24, 2026.

He was born Aug. 2, 1934, in Bakersfield, California, to John Clay and Ruth Clay.

Coady was preceded in death by his father, John Clay; mother, Ruth Clay; his wife of 65 years, Corrine Clay; sister, Inella Clay; and son-in-law, Farrell Roe.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Evonne Roe and Johnny (Stacy) Clay; granddaughters, Brittany (Erik) McCaslin, Tavanna Bell, Tarryn Roe; grandsons, Jakota (Nina) Clay, Nick (Laura) Roe, Coltenn Roe, CJ Smith and Jacy Clay; great-grandchildren, Aerith McCaslin, Auron McCaslin, Jayda Clay, Gideon Weatherford, Maverick Roe and Corbin Roe; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Coady's life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
