James Eugene Heritage II, 43, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on April 20, 2026. He was born on July 19, 1982, in Mena, Arkansas, to Ronald Heritage and Joni Westbrook.

James had the most beautiful mind, and a heart of gold who loved his family and friends deeply. He was known for his luminous smile, sense of humor, great big hugs that warmed your soul, and the way he could light up any room he walked into. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones, making memories with his nieces and nephews, and being there for those he cared about. James had a giving spirit and will be remembered for his loyalty, compassion, and the joy he brought to others.

He had a deep love for Broadway musicals and found joy in storytelling through music and performances. James was an avid reader with an extensive book collection that reflected his passion for imagination and adventure. He especially enjoyed Marvel comics and movies, video games, and was a dedicated fan of Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, anything Brandon Sanderson. These interests brought him comfort and happiness and were often shared with those closest to him.

James was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Dale Heritage; grandfather, James Eugene Heritage; grandmothers, Carol Berg and Ernestine Bailey; and his brother, Eddie Westbrook.

He is survived by his mother, Joni Westbrook, and father, Sean Westbrook; siblings, Joshua Heritage (April), Sara Wilhite (Eric), Tonashae Echols (Tyler), Robert Westbrook, and Rebecca Westbrook; nieces and nephews, Matthew, Isac Lee, Landan Lee, Ali Grace, Amsleigh Hope, and Hunter Lee; his goddaughter, Ava Beck as well as numerous family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, 155 Section Line Road, Hot Springs, Arkansas.

A Celebration of James's Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, also at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.

In honor of James, family and friends are encouraged to celebrate his life in a way that reflects the things he loved most, whether through elements of Harry Potter, Marvel, or musicals. Wearing themed attire or sharing memories connected to these passions is warmly welcomed as we remember and celebrate the joy he brought to our lives.
