Jennifer A. Baker

Age 67 Austin
October 1, 2026

Jennifer Ann Baker, 67, of Morristown, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026.

Jennifer was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Aug. 15, 1959, to Wendell and Martha Burns.

Jennifer worked as a CTA for Appalachian Healing Arts. Known for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, she brought joy and laughter to those around her. She loved the beach, enjoyed singing — even when she was off-key — and had a passion for arts and crafts, often creating thoughtful handmade gifts for others.

Jennifer is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Bruce E. Baker; her daughter, Katie N. Carney (Jess) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and her son, Keith E. Baker (Danelle) of White Pine, Tennessee.

She is also survived by her father, Wendell G. Burns; and his wife, Charlie Burns; her four sisters, Julie Burns of Austin, Arkansas, Janice Flemming (Tom) of Cabot, Arkansas, Joy Poole (Robert) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Jeanne Meek (David) of Little Rock, Arkansas; as well as 13 nieces and nephews and too many cousins to count.

Jennifer will be lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew her.

A visitation is planned at 6 p.m. at Westside Chapel in Morristown on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, followed at 7 p.m. by a celebration of life, officiated by Chaplain Sonny Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
