John J. McMullen
John Joseph McMullen, 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Aug. 13, 2026. He was born Nov. 13, 1937, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to John McMullen and Ethel McMullen.
John proudly served his country in the United States Navy and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Navy with numerous service medals. After his military career, he went to work as a senior engineer at LAX. He was actively involved in the Moose Club, a longtime member of the Masons, Eastern Star and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars association. John was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with his wife, Pearl.
He was preceded in death by his father, John McMullen; mother, Ethel McMullen; and granddaughter, Cindy Faulkner.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Pearl McMullen; stepsons, Edmond Faulkner and Charles Faulkner; sister, Mary Ann West; grandson, Charlie Faulkner; loving nieces, Regina Lunk, Patty Booth, Karen West, Shirley Webb, Betty Couch, Kathy Hightower, Beverly Leaton; nephew, John Faulkner; great-nephew, John Lunk; great-nieces, Allison Worley and Ashley Cummorford; four great-grandchildren, longtime friend, Johnny White; as well as numerous other extended family members and friends.
