Marcia Renie Taylor was born June 12, 1947, to John and Lanora Eckert.

She met the love of her life, Lano Taylor in November of 1963. They wed, Sep. 4, 1966, and spent sixty years building a life and family together. Over the years, they lived all over South Arkansas, in Mississippi, Des Moines, Iowa and Mountain View, Arkansas before finally settling in Hot Springs.

Renie spent her whole life believing in hard work and the value it could bring. Aside from Lano and her grandchildren, her other great love was music, specifically the piano and autoharp. She spent many years honing her musical abilities in the Church. Outside of work she spent her time gardening and at "the farm."

Renie left her earthly home on Aug. 27, 2026.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her older brother, Ronnie Eckert; and her granddaughter, Brittanie Taylor.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Lano Taylor; her children, Tim Taylor (Floye) and Terri McKnight (Kenneth); her grandchildren, Michael Taylor (Heather), Chelsey Shelton (Christian), Sarah McKnight (Joshua) and Samuel McKnight,; and her great-grandchildren, KayLynn, Alexis, Kenlie, Lennox and Liam.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sept. 4, 2026, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Gurdon, Arkansas.

Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
