Martha Emmett

Hot Springs
May 30, 2026

Martha Emmett, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, nurse, veteran and friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026.

Born on May 20, 1940, in Benton, Arkansas. Martha lived a life defined by quiet strength, compassion and resilience. She dedicated her life to caring for others, first through her service as a United States Marine, and later through her career as a nurse. Whether in uniform or scrubs, Martha carried herself with dignity, determination and a servant's heart.

She found joy in the simple things: a good book, the rhythmic comfort of knitting needles, sewing projects spread across the table and early mornings spent hunting in the Arkansas woods. Martha loved her family fiercely. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Bradbury and Willia Faye Logsdon; her brother, David; and daughter, Cynthia Ann. Though those losses shaped her life, Martha continued forward with grace and remarkable strength.

She leaves behind her loving brother, Donald/Linda; her daughter, Katherine/Chris; her sons, Alan and Michael/Rhnea; and her cherished grandchildren: Heather, Angela, Allison, Thomas, Mason and Seth.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hot Springs Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on June 3, 2026, at Kentucky Cemetery in Benton, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to the Garland County Library at 1427 Malvern Ave., Hot Springs, AR 71901, in honor of Martha's lifelong love of reading and learning.

Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
