Rebecca T. Kilby

Rebecca T. Kilby, 88, of Hot Springs, was reunited with her husband and children in Heaven on Oct. 15, 2026. She was born May 21, 1938, to the late Cora E. Woodall Rowe and Luther R. Rowe in Amity, Arkansas.

She was married to James "Sonny" Kilby on May 31, 1957. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for many years while caring for her family. She was a natural caregiver who gave endlessly of herself, always putting the needs of others before her own and finding purpose in bringing comfort, love and peace to those around her.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, James F. Kilby; all of her children, Brenda Kilby Knowles, Perry Joe Kilby and John Paul Kilby; her brother, Lowell Rowe; and her sisters, Sue Fendley and Betty Boone.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Alicia (Keith) Meredith, Amanda Kilby Bradley and Jarrod Kilby; her great-grandchildren, Kaleb (Morgan) Meredith, Kenlee Meredith, Theo and Soren Bradley, Allie Ballew and Paul Kilby; son-in-law, Don Knowles; and daughter-in-law, Vanessa Kilby; brother & sister-in-law, Jim & Jean Kilby; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Hot Springs Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Hot Springs Funeral Home with Shane Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jarrod Kilby, Paul Kilby, Keith Meredith, Kaleb Meredith, Don Knowles and Glen Robinson.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Garrett Woods and Lake Hamilton Nursing Home & Rehab.

Arrangements are by Hot Springs Funeral Home.
