Sonny R. Williams

Sonny Ray Williams, of Hot Springs, departed this earthly life on April 20, 2026, with one last peaceful breath. He was 96.

He was predeceased by his parents, Georgia and Thomas "Buster" Williams (Electra, Texas); his siblings: Wilma Williams, DeCourse and Ima Joyce Williams (Dallas, Texas), David and wife Yvonne Williams (Midland, Texas), Mary Ann and Virgil Brownlee (Brooks, Georgia); his beloved nieces, Judy Francis (Marietta, Georgia) and LeAnn Tingle (Santa Rosa Beach, Florida); nephews, Greg Williams (Dallas) and Brooke Brownlee (Atlanta); and his wife, Shirley Ann Hensley Williams (Hot Springs).

He is survived by his son, John and wife Jolene Williams; his granddaughter, Emily and husband, Matthew Haggard; and his great-grandchild, Baby Haggard, who is due in October, all of Hot Springs. He is also survived by his daughter, Berit and husband Paul Kimrey; grandson, Cole and wife Lily Kimrey; and his grandson, David Kimrey, (Alana McGhee), all of North Little Rock. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Champ, and a host of special nieces and nephews across the country whom he loved dearly.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Grace at Home Health Care — Keicha is an incredible woman who provided great comfort to him. To the ladies of the LRVA-6E Hospice — thank you for loving him as if he were your own.

Celebration of Life — Sonny Ray Williams — 1-4 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026 — casual dress please. Oaklawn Park Backside Chapel, 161 Golf Links Road, Hot Springs, AR 71901.

He requested that donations be made to Heifer Project International, your favorite hospice or a veterans' organization.
