Wayne A. Gorman

Age 83 Hot Springs
February 7, 2026

Wayne Allen Gorman, 83, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Jan. 18, 2026, from complications of the flu. He was born on March 21, 1942, in Roswell, New Mexico. Wayne lived a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a love for the outdoors.

Wayne was the proud son of the late Wayne and Elizabeth Gorman and grew up alongside his siblings, the late Cathy Gorman Murphy and Gary Gorman. From an early age, he learned the value of perseverance, independence, and doing things his own way — traits that stayed with him throughout his life.

After leaving Roswell, Wayne moved to Oklahoma, where fate led him to meet the love of his life, Gloria. Together, they built a life rooted in commitment, adventure, and family in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He started a wood-cutting business and while working spent as much time as possible hunting and fishing — places where he felt most himself. Later, he partnered with longtime friend Mickey Davis in a car business, James Davis joined them later, a venture built on trust and friendship.

In his later years, Wayne became a rental property owner, never fully slowing down and always staying busy. Wayne and Gloria shared a deep love for the outdoors and for each other. Even in his final month, they could still be found in the woods together. They shared fifty-four years of marriage filled with love, laughter, challenges, and countless memories of adventures.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Diana Arnold, and her children; his daughter, Elizabeth Gorman; his step-daughter, Patricia Ellis, and her children; and his step-daughter, Donna Belles, her husband, Tim, and their children; Nephews, Tyson Murphy and wife, Lacey; Jerohn Gorman and wife, Tasha; and niece Christan Gorman Cole and husband Michael.

Wayne will be remembered as a man who worked hard, loved deeply, and found peace in the woods.

His lessons and his love will live on through the family he cherished and the lives he shaped.

There will be no funeral or memorial. The family will have a private send off in the woods.
