William N. Hood

William Nathan Hood, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Sept. 17, 2026, at the age of 95.

He was born on Oct. 29, 1930, to Robert Horace Hood and Addell Hood.

Nathan was a WWII veteran and served for 4 years as a paratrooper jumper with the 555 group.

He loved spending time with his family and friends; he also loved playing baritone saxophone. He was an accomplished musician.

Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Horrace and Addell. He is survived by the love of his life for 26 years, Betty Williams Hood; daughters, Pamela Hood of San Jose, California, and Katherine Brown Mangham (Robert) of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Kyra Washington and Elizabeth Brown; brothers, Robert Horace and Benjamin Jeff Hood; and special friend Lawrence Webb; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, Friday, Sept. 25, 2026.
