JESSIEVILLE — Clyde Ellis Edds, 86, of Jessieville, Arkansas, passed away Aug. 9, 2026. He was born Aug. 19, 1939, in Lonsdale, Arkansas, to Turner Ellis Edds and Erma Garner Edds.

Clyde attended the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, attended classes in Pasadena, Texas, and Hot Springs Village. He was a Missionary Baptist pastor for 66 years. He made eight mission trips to the Philippines, where he helped organize many churches and baptized many people there.

Clyde was married to Rayma Johnson Edds for 65 years.

He is survived by his wife, Rayma; daughter, Becky Kinard (Jimmy); son, Paul Edds; granddaughters, Jennifer Shores, Amber Thibodeau, Brooke Holden, Linzey Matthews; grandsons, Kyle Kinard, Cameron Edds; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Edds Davis (Glen); and brother, Ralph Edds (Kathy).

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jimmy Edds (Shirley), Carl Edds (Barbara), and sister, Betty Edds Hermann (Richard.)

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, at Caruth-Village Funeral Home.

A service honoring Clyde's life will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Caruth-Village Funeral Home, with Brother Gary Smith and Brother Ralph Edds officiating. Burial to follow service at Talley Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Cameron Edds, Kyle Rinard, Kevin Davis, Mike Grisham, Jeff Shepherd and Bobby LePite.

Honorary pallbearers are Luke Walker, Mike LePite, Jimbo Kinard, Howard Johnson and Wayne Horman.
