Elizabeth M. Wood
Elizabeth (Liz) McDaniel Wood, age 66, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, received her angel wings peacefully on May 22, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, laughter, and adventure.
Elizabeth was a bright light to everyone who knew her. She lived life with an energetic spirit and an open heart, always seeing the good in people and finding joy in every season of life. She was deeply relational, fiercely loving, and passionate about the things and people she treasured most. Her faith guided her life, and her warmth and positivity made others feel welcomed, encouraged, and valued.
She was an incredible cheerleader and encourager to her daughters and cherished her grandchildren deeply. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family and embraced every opportunity for adventure. Whether she was fishing on the water, boating with loved ones, on the farm, golfing, flying, or traveling to new places, she lived fully and enthusiastically. Her laughter, vibrant personality, and ability to make lasting friendships will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Fred and Amie Mills, and Irvan D. and Camille McDaniel; her father, R. Daley McDaniel Sr.; her brothers, James Caldwell "Skipper" McDaniel and Donald Frederick "Rick" McDaniel; her son-in-law, John Garrett Pribyl, husband of Brittany Rivers; her uncles, I. Granger McDaniel, Caldwell W. McDaniel, and Colonel Freddie J. Mills; and her aunt, Virginia McDaniel Wright.
Elizabeth is survived by her mother, Margaret Ann Mills McDaniel; loving daughters, Paris Elizabeth Dolinger and husband, Andrew Dolinger, and Brittany Ann Rivers and husband, Dustin Rivers. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to, Lorelei Pribyl, Paxton Dolinger, John Harvey Pribyl, Maverick Rivers, Levi Rivers, and Harbour Dolinger, all of whom brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her brothers, Daley McDaniel and wife, Cindy McDaniel, and Mike McDaniel. Elizabeth leaves behind cherished friendships with devoted friends, Kris Williams and Roger Clinton, as well as her devoted companion, Doug Riley.
Elizabeth's beautiful spirit, unwavering love for her family, and joyful approach to life will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at a later date in Florida.
Her family asks that she be remembered not for the way she passed, but for the incredible way she lived — with faith, love, courage, and a heart always open to others.
Memorials may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
