Emmit O. Crain
JESSIEVILLE — Emmit Odell Crain, 77, of Jessieville, Arkansas, passed away on June 18, 2026. He was born Dec. 10, 1948, in Cherry Hill, Arkansas, to the late Emmit Louis and Linzy Arizona (Hanley) Crain.
Emmit was a retired driller for offshore oil wells and a former owner of Second Time Around Thrift Store. He enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets, raising rabbits and Pekingese dogs. He was also a member of Pines Community Church.
Emmit was preceded in death by his spouse, Nettie Crain; father- and mother-in-law, Dewie and Minnie Johnson; sister, Alice Mae Lauderdale; brothers, Carl Crain and Mikel John Crain.
Survivors include his brother, J.C. Crain (Hazel); sisters, Evie Welch, Merry Ackley and Dorothy Ragland; sister-in-law, Debra Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Queen.
Visitation will be 2-3 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026, with a celebration of Emmit's life beginning at 3 p.m. at Caruth Village Funeral Home, with Brother Joe Thompson officiating.
Pallbearers include Calvin Crain, Danny Seaton, Tyler Lauderdale, Shawn Whisnant, Kayden Pace and Justin Settle.
Honorary pallbearers include Joe and Brenda Thompson, members of Pines Community Church and the staff at Lake Forest Senior Living & Rehabilitation.
