James A. Gilliand

James Arnold Gilliand, age 66, passed away on Oct. 15, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of treasured memories and a legacy of love, faith, and dedication. He will be remembered as a man who took pride in everything he did and whose work reflected the care he put into every detail.

James was a devoted man that followed Jesus. Those who loved him can find peace in knowing his earthly life has come to an end and he is now resting in the presence of his Lord and Savior – Jesus Christ.

He is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Sandie; his son, Shawn; his granddaughter, Ashlynne; and his precious great-grandson, Baylor. He is also survived by his sisters, Debbie, Vicky and Tammy; his brothers-in-law, Dennis, Brian, Curt, Ed and Bruce; and his sisters-in-law, Sue, Holly, Lucy and Rhonda. He had several nieces and nephews that he adored, Denise, Desiree, Lil D, Kristen, Brittany and Nicole.

James will also be deeply missed by his extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know him.

A gathering of family and friends was held from 1-3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Hot Springs Funeral Home.
