Kathleen M. Gibbs-Crain

Kathleen M. Gibbs-Crain, 92, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away Sept. 11, 2026. She was born Aug. 13, 1934, in Sims, Arkansas, to Ocus Gibbs and Marie Gibbs.

Kathleen or "Granny Cornbread" as her grandkids lovingly called her, was a woman of great pride. She always gave 100% of herself whether it was to her family, her job and even her appearance.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ocus Gibbs; mother, Marie Gibbs; husband, Leo M. Crain; and sister, Aline Gibbs Goss.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ron Kirk (Sharon) and Gene Kirk (Shirley); grandchildren, Jason Kirk (Sonny), Justin Kirk (Jordan), Cory Kirk (Kayla), Matt Kirk (Emma), Angela Kirk and Conner Jones; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2026, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with a Celebration of Kathleen's Life to follow starting at 11 a.m.
