SENECA — Celebrating The Life & Legacy of Mr. Ledell Tucker

Mr. Ledell Tucker, 74, passed away on May 27, 2026, in Seneca, South Carolina. He was born on July 3, 1951, in Muskegon, Michigan to Andrew Tucker and Arnethia Berry Tucker, who preceded him in death.

He lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love for his family and community. Ledell grew up in Hot Springs, where he attended historical Langston High School. Following education, he enlisted in the United States Marines.

During his military service he rose to the rank of Sergeant and he earned numerous medals.

After his military service he settled in Bremerton, Washington, where he then wedded Linda Puryear, to whom a son was born, Ryan Tucker. Ledell was a man of faith, he accepted the Lord as his personal savior early in life. He was a protector of his country and his family.

Ledell was a Marine way before he became a Marine.

Ledell was preceded in death by his son, Ledell Tucker Jr; granddaughter, Syanna Puryear Tucker; two sisters, Ruthie Tucker and Barbara Tucker McDaniel; two brothers, Theodore Tucker and Andrew Wayne Tucker.

Ledell leaves to cherish his wonderful memory, his aforementioned wife and son, his brother, Michael Tucker (Rhonda); a sister, Dorothy Thompson (Paul) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Once a Marine, always a Marine.

A graveside serve will be held June 26, 2026, at the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery, in Anderson, South Carolina.
