Marvin B. Watts

Age 74 Hot Springs
July 11, 2026

Marvin Benoit Watts, 74, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away July 11, 2026. He was born June 17, 1952, in Delhi, Louisiana, to Stafford Watts and Laverne Watts.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father, Stafford Watts; mother, Laverne Watts; and sister, Joy Watts.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 20 years, Beverly Watts; son, Marshall Watts and wife, Stephanie Watts; daughter Linnie Watts; and grandson, Wyatt Bradshaw; niece, Olivia Pounders; nephew, John Pounders; and his beloved Boxer, Buttercup. He also leaves behind a host of extended family, friends and coworkers.

Marvin dedicated many years of service to BP Oil and Gas Company, where his hard work and commitment earned him numerous awards and recognition throughout his career.

Marvin also pursued his passion for cooking by owning and operating his own restaurant. He especially enjoyed preparing meals with his beloved sous chef, Beverly, by his side.

An avid outdoorsman, Marvin loved deer hunting and fishing. Some of his most cherished moments were spent in the deer woods with his children, Marshall and Linnie and his grandson, Wyatt. Those hunting trips were more than a pastime — they were special times together, creating memories and strengthening the bond they shared.

He loved racing Mod Lites at Murfreesboro and Little Rock. The thunder of the engines wasn't just noise to him; Every lap brought the rush of adrenaline, the smell of dirt and fuel and the excitement that only a night at the track could provide. Whether he was behind the wheel or cheering from the pits, those roaring engines echoed his adventurous spirit, and the memories he made at the racetrack will continue to resonate in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Marvin also had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly his loyal boxer dogs, who were treasured companions throughout his life.

Marvin was a Christian and faithful man of God, telling many people of his relationship with the Lord and the importance of knowing his savior. He attended 1st Baptist Church of Royal.

A celebration of Marvin's life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Mike Smith, George Lynch and Clayton Cooper Jr officiating.
