Roger W. Smith
JESSIEVILLE — Roger William Smith, 59, of Jessieville, Arkansas, entered into heaven Sept. 11, 2026. He was born Nov. 4, 1966, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Walter Smith and Janie Miller.
Roger was a devoted father, a trusted mentor to many and a beloved pastor of Walnut Grove Community Church. He lived with a servant's heart, offering steady guidance, encouragement and kindness to those around him. His faith, compassion and dedication to his family, church and community will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Smith.
Left to cherish Roger's memory are his wife, Regina (Castleberry) Smith; his mother, Janie Miller; his sons, Casey Smith and Isaac Smith; his sisters, Brenda Pate Cameron, Linda Smith Swan and Trina Heindl; as well as many nieces, nephews, dear friends and members of the Walnut Grove Community Church family.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2026, at Caruth Village Funeral Home.
A celebration of Roger's life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jessieville Church of God, with Pastor Larry McNeely officiating.
Pallbearers include Casey Smith, Isaac Smith, Ryan O'Kane, Chris Johnson, Rob Swan and Ray Cameron.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the CCU staff at Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock, CARTI Cancer Center, his primary physician Zachary Geiling, and Roger's many friends and coworkers at AAR Corp. for their care, support and kindness.
