Sandra S. Grubbs

Sandra Steinmetz Grubbs, devoted wife of Kelton Grubbs, loving mother of Michael, Patrick and Bradley and adoring grandmother of Mason, departed this life on June 22, 2026.

Sandy was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Sept. 20, 1943, and lived with her parents, Raymond and Arietta Steinmetz in Fort Smith, Arkansas, until she married Kelton in 1961. After putting Kelton through school at the U of A, they moved to Ohio where she supported and advised Kelton, and they were fortunate to adopt Michael in 1967.

After following Kelton's work throughout the southwestern United States, they settled in Hot Springs, 1969, where they were blessed with the births of Patrick and Bradley. In addition to caring for her own, she worked as a CASA volunteer for several years, caring for other kids in need. Sandy was an avid collector of many things and an artistic quilter who didn't hesitate to share an opinion. She was a dear friend to many and will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please donate to your favorite charity in Sandra's name.

A visitation will be held at Gross Funeral Home, from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. A graveside service will be held the following day, at 10a.m. July 1, 2026, at Crestview Cemetery.
