Susan G. Siegel
Susan Goltz Siegel, 83, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Born on Sept. 4, 1942, in Hot Springs, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Goltz and Bernice Lockwood Goltz.
Susan lived a life defined by service, family, friendship and community involvement. Susan lived in Dallas, Memphis and Miami before returning to her roots in her hometown of Hot Springs. She graduated from Hot Springs High School, class of 1960, then attended the University of Oklahoma, where she was a proud member of the Alpha Epsilon Phi sorority. Throughout her life, she remained deeply connected to her community and to her Jewish faith.
Susan enjoyed a distinguished 39-year career in the investment industry, retiring from Morgan Stanley. Earlier in her career, she served as CEO of Susu's Shirt Shop, located within her family's business, Gene Lockwood's Sportsmart, where her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit made her custom-design T-shirts, some of the most sought-after fashions of the 1980s.
Her commitment to helping others was evident through her many civic and charitable activities. Susan served on the Levi Towers Board and was a member of Congregation House of Israel and the Temple Sisterhood. She was the first women president of the UAMS College of Medicine Parents Club. She volunteered her time delivering Christmas baskets for the Elks, supported THE CALL, participated in fundraising and events for Relay for Life, the American Heart Association, the Sister City Program, and numerous other charitable organizations throughout the years.
Susan found great joy in traveling, playing bridge, and spending time with family and friends. She was known for legendary family pizza parties, her generosity, warm spirit, quick wit and her unwavering devotion to those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Dr. Diane Goltz and Rosalind Goltz Hudson; and her brother-in-law, Earl H. Hudson Jr.
Susan is survived by her husband, Lou Siegel; her niece, Madeline Hudson Bull; and the love of her life, Cooper Jack Bull.
She is also survived by her stepchildren, Dr. Brian (Janne) Siegel, Glenda Siegel and Leonard Siegel; grandchildren, Meaghan (Murphy) Underwood, Mackenzie (Venus) Siegel, Montgomery (Destiny) Siegel, Lauren (Sean) Siegel Hirschboeck, Ben Siegel and Maddie Siegel; great-grandchildren, Warren and Harrison Underwood, Bellamy Siegel, Everly, Aspen and Anistyn May Siegel, Keeley Siegel; and brother-in-law, Glenn Siegel. She also leaves behind her cherished cats, Sibo and Saki.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Congregation House of Israel, 300 Quapaw Ave., Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Friends wishing to pay their respects may do so from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Hot Springs Funeral Home.
Susan's kindness, generosity and dedication to her family and community will be remembered by all whose lives she touched. Her legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Congregation House of Israel, Guardian Angels Cat Shelter or the charity of one's choice.
Pallbearers are E. Charles Jalenak, Spencer Bull, Rico Harris, Dr. Brian Siegel, Ben Siegel, Mackenzie Siegel, Montgomery Siegel and Murphy Underwood.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Timothy English and his nurses and staff, Dr. Fred Heinemann, Dr. Richard Braley, Steven Nguyen and The Miami Bums.
