Harold Clark Hill passed away on May 10, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Nov. 8, 1943.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, Louisiana, with a visitation for family and friends at 1 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Gary Sapp will be officiating. Interment will follow at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Godwin Cemetery in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Shiller Hill; mother, Floy Anderson; father, William Hill; stepfather, Frank Anderson; and brother, Richard "Skip" Hill.

Clark leaves behind his daughter, Laura Smelser; son, Chad Hill and wife Aimee; grandchildren, Hill Smelser (Rachel), Mem Smelser, Chandler Hill and Hudson Hill; great-grandson, Jude Smelser; stepson, Kyle Shiller; stepdaughter, Paige Okun and husband Steve; stepgrandchildren, Ben Okun and Mason Okun.

Clark was a dedicated, trustworthy, hard worker for his entire life.

He worked on a paper route in Hot Springs starting at the age of 13. He had a Harley-Davidson motorcycle he would ride on his route in the early morning hours. He also worked at his stepfather's electric motor shop, Illinois Electric, on and off until he graduated college. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars and shooting pool during these years.

Clark received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas in 1968. He worked as a teacher's assistant, joined a fraternity and made several friends during his time at college. He married Donna Stout (Hot Springs) in 1967. They moved to Camden, Arkansas, after graduation, where he worked for International Paper. They had their first child, Laura Hill, while there. They moved to Meridian, Mississippi, in the early 1970s, where he worked as the plant manager at Atlas Roofing. They had their second child, Chad Hill, while living there.

In 1974, they moved to Monroe when he took a job at Ford, Bacon and Davis.

Clark started HCH Inc., an engineering company that specialized in electrical engineering for industrial production facilities in 1984. He worked to build and maintain the company until his passing. He created lifetime relationships with employees, customers and business partners that lasted his entire career. He mentored several electrical engineers and designers throughout his lifetime.

In the early 2000s, he married Linda Shiller. They enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren, going to T-ball games, soccer games and all the activities associated with them. They loved traveling, playing golf, gardening, riding motorcycles and enjoying life. Spending time with both immediate and extended family was very important to them.

His favorite activity was riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He would travel to Daytona Beach, Florida, and Sturgis, South Dakota, for yearly trips, as well as ride in local events. He loved to ride. He made several lifelong friends who shared the same passion along the way, including Donna Nash, who became a significant part of his life in his later years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. visitation for family and friends at 1 p.m. service.
